It seems ironic ... but the brutal photo of "Glee" star Heather Morris sporting a fake black eye will be auctioned off soon ... and all of the proceeds will go towards a domestic violence charity ... TMZ has learned.
The photo ignited a major controversy when it was released on the Internet a few days ago -- with some critics saying it glamorizes violence against women.
But Tyler Shields, the photog behind the shot, tells us that was NOT the intention -- and he's sorry it came off that way.
Shields says ... to make up for the controversy, he'll be auctioning off the photo, starting at $100k, and will donate every single cent he makes to a top domestic violence charity.

'Hold It Against Me' Lawsuit -- Case Dismissed After Country Duo Apologizes

Sometimes saying you're sorry and admitting you were wrong really does fix everything -- because a lawsuit over the Britney Spears hit song "Hold It Against Me" was dismissed for just that very reason.
As TMZ first reported, Dr. Luke (along with fellow co-writer Max Martin) sued the Bellamy Brothers for defamation after they went around bad-mouthing the song and saying it was just a rip-off of their 1979 song, "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me?"
But according to court documents filed last week, Dr. Luke dropped his lawsuit after the Bellamy Brothers admitted the Britney song was not a copy of theirs.
Both sides agreed upon an apology, which reads in part: "The Bellamy Brothers apologize to Dr. Luke and Max Martin for the Bellamys' public statements and any false impressions suggested by the statements on their website that Dr. Luke and Max Martin copy the works of others."
No damages were awarded.

Chris Brown is one step closer to thanking the girl who returned his lost $22 THOUSAND Rolex -- TMZ has learned ... the super-honest fan has come forward!
We spoke to the Rolex-returner herself -- a girl named Alisha -- who tells us she was in the audience at the VMA's with a friend -- when Chris took off his watch, dropped it on a trampoline ... and it bounced right over to her.
Alisha says she put the Rolex on her wrist -- then saw one of Brown's people looking for the wayward watch ... so she turned it in.
We're told the two parties got in contact after seeing the story on our site -- and Alisha was promised tickets to a show, backstage passes and a meet-and-greet with Chris.
Alisha tells us she's SUPER excited about the offer -- and was never expecting a reward for her good deed.

Laurel Holloman filed the papers earlier this month, asking an L.A. County Superior Court judge to end her 9-year marriage to architect Paul Machery.
The couple has two young daughters together -- but Laurel has requested to share joint physical and legal custody of the children with Paul.
Laurel, who blames the split on irreconcilable differences, has also asked the judge to block Paul from obtaining spousal support.
According to the docs, the two have been separated since last year.

A bunch of people who worked for Master P on his 2003 movie "Uncle P" claim the former rap mogul wasn't bout it, bout it when it came to pay day -- and now they want their cash ... more than $240k!!
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, several members of the crew sued P back in 2005 and WON -- but P never forked over the dough.
Now, the class has taken their case to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in L.A. -- hoping they can finally squeeze some cash out of the man who was once reported to be worth $600 million.
The class wants the court to push P into bankruptcy so that an independent trustee will be appointed to oversee P's assets ... and maybe then, they would be able to collect.

Security at Craig Ferguson's "Late Late Show" didn't take any chances during last month's anthrax scare -- telling the 911 operator they immediately quarantined everyone who had contact with the white powder as soon as they could.
TMZ obtained a copy of the 911 call -- made by a very cool, calm and collected security guard who wasn't one of the five people exposed to the powder.
As we previously reported, a deranged fan put the powder in an envelope and mailed it to CBS Television City in L.A, along with a threatening letter -- but an investigation proved the powder was nothing more than cornmeal.
So far, no arrests have been made.

Wrestling legend Kurt Angle was arrested early this morning on charges of driving under the influence ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Angle's car was spotted by another driver ... swerving between lanes on I-66. Angle was busted by Virginia State Troopers, who responded to the call, and taken to Warren County Jail.
He posted $2,000 bond and was released at 3:31 AM.
Angle won the gold medal in wrestling at the 1996 Olympics before turning to professional wrestling. He made his name in the WWE and is currently under contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Westboro Baptist Church Red Faced Over Red State

The Westboro Baptist Church has set its hateful sights on the movie, "Red State" -- which will be released in theaters later this month -- calling director Kevin Smith "a God-hating clown."The Church spokesperson says, "God hates fags, God hates fag enablers, therefore God hates Kevin Smith."
The movie puts the spotlight on a fanatical church whose members kill "sinners" -- many say it bares a resemblance to Westboro.
As for Kevin Smith -- he's unfazed by Westboro's promise to disrupt the movie release.
Smith tells TMZ, "Well Jesus told ME he loved 'Red State.' He said it makes up for 'Cop Out.' He also said neither He nor His Heavenly Father have any affiliation with the Westboro Baptist Church."
Smith has more to say about God ... "He loves all the 'Dark Knight' footage he's seen so far on TMZ."
Smith also wants Westboro to know, "'Red State' is available now on VOD."
