Kim signed a TV deal with "American Idol" honcho Nigel Lythgoe -- to be the E.P. for an upcoming reality show about the "Pussycat Dolls empire" ... that will feature the launch of a "new" PCD group.
One source tells us the newbies are "10 times better than the original group."
We're told Kim has a good relationship with PCD founder Robin Antin -- plus Kim really enjoyed performing with the group in Vegas a few years back.
Kim is telling friends she's "super excited" to work with Nigel because "he's the best in the business."

It's the most tragically ironic video we've ever seen -- Tareq Salahi blissfully ignorant ... cheering on his wife while she plants a fat kiss on Journey guitarist Neal Schon, deep into their secret affair.
Neal's eyes tell the whole story -- it will make you squirm.
The clip was shot backstage at a make-up concert in Virginia on Labor Day weekend -- the show was originally scheduled for August 28th but was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irene.
Tareq is holding the camera ... and it's fair to assume he has NO IDEA what's secretly going on.
And FYI ... it was no accident the Salahis turned up at that concert -- sources extremely close to Michaele tell TMZ, she had been in close touch with Neal leading up to the show.
According to sources, Neal went so far as to send Michaele an extremely suggestive message just days before the show -- "I will be there on the 4th for a make-up date. Solo!!!! Can u?"
Apparently, the answer was yes. Don't tell Scotty.
'LA Ink' Star Hospitalized after INSANE Taxi Crash

"LA Ink" star Ruthless was rushed to an L.A. hospital this week after a taxi she was riding in smashed into another car ... and then backed into TWO MORE vehicles -- TMZ has learned.
TMZ spoke with 26-year-old Ruth "Ruthless" Pineda ... who says her cabbie jumped out of the car to check out the damage after the initial collision ... but for some reason, the taxi was IN REVERSE!!!
The cabbie quickly jumped back in the taxi and tried to slam on the brake -- but he was so flustered, that he accidentally hit the gas ... sending the car roaring back into two parked cars.
Ruthless says she was rushed to a nearby hospital ... where she was treated for neck and back injuries. She was released the next day ... but tells us, "I'm still in a lot of pain but recovering"
Pineda has had some bad luck with cars lately -- as we previously reported Ruthless was also hospitalized a few months ago when a semi truck slammed into her Mercedes.

The chick who played E's psycho ex-girlfriend Ashley on "Entourage" claims she's living in fear of her violent, porn-obsessed parents ... but TMZ has learned, the judge just ain't buyin' her story.
27-year-old Alexis Dziena filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court earlier this month -- asking a judge to slap her parents with restraining orders ... after her mother and her father allegedly roughed her up and threatened her.
According to the docs, Alexis claims her parents are upset because she wants to take away their access to her personal finances. She also claims her father is blowing her money on liquor and porn.
In the docs, Alexis claims, "I fear that [my dad] will do anything to get my money in his hands. I believe murder or violence or manipulation are all possible outcomes."
She asked a judge to keep her folks 100 yards away from her at all times.
But this week, a judge REJECTED her request -- claiming Alexis doesn't have any "reasonable proof" to back up her claims.
Still, Alexis will have a chance to plead her case to the judge in person -- she's scheduled to appear in court for the matter on October 3.
Multiple calls to Alexis' rep were not returned.

The party bus driver who claims "Lost" star Matthew Fox punched her in the vagina during a stand-off last month has filed a lawsuit against the actor ... demanding more than $25k ... TMZ has learned.
In documents filed in Ohio, Heather Bormann claims a drunk Fox tried to board her party bus outside of a Cleveland bar on August 28 and demanded she drive him to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Bormann claims she refused to let him board because he was not part of the private party that had rented the bus for the evening.
According to the docs, Bormann claims Fox then attacked her "with his fists, delivering sudden and severe blows to her right breast, groin, arm and legs, inflicting severe, disabling injury."
Bormann explains that she "instinctively defended herself" -- and punched him in the face and head ... but she claims she injured her hand and fingers in the process.
Now, she wants more than $25k in damages for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Calls to Fox's rep have not been returned.

Tareq Salahi Files for Divorce From Michaele -- Complains He Got a Penis Pic from Journey Guitarist

Tareq Salahi has officially filed for divorce, and claims he has been humiliated in the extreme by Michaele and her lover, Journey guitarist Neal Schon, who stooped so low that he sent Tareq a picture of a penis.
According to the legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Tareq is citing adultery and abandonment as the reason for the divorce.
Tareq says in the papers, "the paramour [Neal] sent to my email account ... a email with an attachment of a penis" -- presumably his.
Tareq blasts his wife, claiming, "She continually exposes our friends and acquaintances to her adulterous relationship and has flaunted the same throughout the community, the nation and indeed the world, and thus caused me to suffer great harm, humiliation and embarrassment."
Tareq says his wife has been banging Schon "for a period of months."
And he also blames the band, claiming Journey has been paying for her travel accommodations and other expenses.
Tareq says the couple has a prenup.

A.R. Rahman’s crazy for cameras!
Imitaz Ali discovered something about AR Rahman in a rather amusing way while working on Eros International’s forthcoming release Rockstar.
Imtiaz, during one of his visits to Rahman’s studios in Chennai, got into a casual conversation with the music director about traveling and discovering new places. He complained to Rahman about all the tourists who travel to exotic locations and then instead of enjoying the view, are too busy clicking photographs. They look at everything from their lens instead of taking it in with their eyes. Rahman simply heard out Imtiaz’s point of view but said nothing.
Sometime later, when Rahman came to visit the film’s shooting in Srinagar, Imtiaz took him around to see Pehelgam and other beautiful places. The music maestro took out his camera and got busy shooting the picturesque locales. Throughout the trip he did not part with his camera! At one point he turned around and told Imtiaz; “I am the kind of tourist you don’t like”.
Imtiaz, to his amusement, then discovered that Rahman is a gadget freak and owns all the latest hand held cameras possible, including a 7D camera!
A Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. and Eros International presentation, Rockstar, releases in cinemas worldwide on 11th Nov.

Exclusive! Shawn Arranha Talks about his next the comedy Tukkaa Fitt!
Shawn Arranha made quite the impression with his first film the suspense thriller Hide & Seek, where he took a genre not seen much in Hindi films, gave it a fresh new vibe and a unique eye. Added in a great cast, some killer music and a fab and scary story with some great twists that all melded together perfectly and you have a very good film that got wonderful reviews. Now the director turns his eye to a new genre – comedy with his next film Tukkaa Fitt. Produced by AAP Entertainment and Premal Goragandhi, the film goes to the floor later this month and is set to release early in 2012. Shawn sat down with Stacey and gave us the exclusive scoop on all things Tukkaa Fitt!
Tell us about your new film!
Tukkaa Fitt is a crazy comic caper.
What made you decide to go with a comedy this time?
As a director I should be adaptable to direct films of all genre and hence when this subject came my way, I completely agreed as it was a challenge for me as well. It is my first time doing a comedy and it will be fun because I have a fantastic starkest.
What is the story of the film?
Tukkaa Fitt is a story of money chase, aspirations attached to the money and the money unloading its problems onto others.
Tukkaa Fitt means?
It’s a bull’s eye even in the most remote chance. It’s like someone hitting a jackpot by fluke.
Tell us a bit about the characters and the actors you have cast in the roles.
Mahaakshay Chakraborty plays the lead with Vaishali Desai. He is experimenting with comedy here too after his past thriller film. His camaderie with Hiten Paintal will be a pair to look out for.
Rajpal Yadav is the character where all the problem starts with in Tukkaa Fitt. His character arch will be very interesting for people to keep them in splits.
This film interplays with all characters and we introduce a gamut of comedians with their new shades of characterization.
This film has a cast that also includes Mukul Dev, Satish Shah, Mukesh Tiwari, Muku Deol, Hiten Paintal, Sunil Pal, Amit Mistry, Vivek Vaswani, Mahesh Manjrekar to add a laughing riot on the comedy landscape.
What are you most excited about?
The genre itself has made me excited and the cherry is to work with the Industry’s best comedians and mainstream talents. We will also be shooting in the craziest places…
Gourov Dasgupta is doing the music, can you give a sneak peak into what to expect from the songs?
The Music is an enthralling package of romantic, emotional and peppy music, which audiences will swing to in clubs.
There will be appropriate time for us to unveil the songs. At this juncture it’s too premature to give you a sneak preview my friend. But trust me you will be foot-tapping to all of them.
So, in essence how would you describe the film?
The essence of the film is “Tukkaa fit” can happen to anyone in spite of any caste barrier and we all are destined in one way or the other. It’s a fun film for all, family, youth etc.
When do you start filming?
We are commencing the film at the end of the month till Mid November.
Tell us a bit about your journey into making this film a reality.
Tukkaa Fitt is also in real sense Tukkaa for me as well. I have worked on the script to make it even funnier. Hence I am looking forward to working with my esteem talented crew and cast to unfold the journey as we go along.
Do you think it is going to be harder to direct a comedy than the more scary thriller film you did last time?
Filmmaking is a passion every director is born with and hence all genres are experiments in its canvas. It’s difficult to say which genre is harder or easy as each genre comes with its complication matrix. As I did a whole reference in shooting a suspense thriller I am also doing my homework for shooting a comedy film. This will be my style of comedy something different for people to see…
What to you think makes something funny?
Comedy is very tricky in its language. A silent film of Charlie Chaplin tops the chart. The expressions, the characterization, the diction, the mannerisms etc. all characterize funny. It depends on the Director on what he makes of each line of dialogue or his characters. My film will encompass of all these elements.

The wait is finally over. After months of teaser promos and leaked mp3s the official soundtrack of Ra.One is now available for one and all.
Ra.One marks yet another attempt by Indian Cinema to tackle the genre of high budget blockbuster films featuring superhuman beings saving the world akin to its American counterpart. How the film fares at the box office is out of this document’s subject matter jurisdiction because we are solely here to give you a low-down of the much-awaited soundtrack of Ra.One.
Vishal-Shekhar are the maestros behind the music of Ra.One while Panchi Jalonvi, Nirangen Iyengar, Vishal and Kumaar have penned the lyrics. The soundtrack features 15 tracks showcasing the vocals of Senegalese American R&B singer Akon, Shafqat Amanat Ali (‘Bin Tere’ – I Hate Luv Storys), Sukwinder Singh (‘Dhan Te Nan’ – Kaminey), Clinton Cerejo (‘Hey Ya’ – Karthik Calling Karthik and ‘Kya Karoon’ – Wake Up Sid), Shruti Pathak (‘Mar Jawan’ – Fashion) and Hamsika Iyer (‘Chanda Re’ – Eklavya) amongst others.
Ra.One stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal and hits cinemas Diwali 2011.
The soundtrack commences with Chammak Challo which, lets face it, needs no introduction. With a brilliant combo of Middle-eastern, Indian and contemporary music, ‘Chammak Challo’ has won the hearts of millions. It is addictive, so much so that the addicted may very well require a court-ordered rehabilitation program to divest themselves of it effects. What Akon looses in pronunciation and legibility he gains in oomph and attitude while Hamsika Iyer wows in Hindi and Tamil alike. Vishal-Shekhar without a doubt have an anthem on their hands with this one. ‘Chammak Challo’ appears in two versions, a film version which includes Hamsika Iyer and an International solo version by Akon. Unfortunately, as enjoyable the originals are, the tracks various remixes are far from it. The Punjabi mix gets off on a promising start, but falters shortly after while the other two remixes are unimpressive from the word go.
Dildara (Stand By Me) is next. A sweet little song with a brilliant fusion of classical Indian and contemporary music, ‘Dildara’, like its predecessor ‘Chammak Challo’, wasted no time in winning hearts. Shafqat’s powerful vocals are well supported by Vishal, Shekhar and Clinton and do ample justice to Kumaar’s lyrics. In many ways, Vishal-Shekhar have retained the feel of the Ben E King’s ‘Stand By Me’ and at the same time made the song their own. In short, ‘Dildara’ is all heart.
Criminal is Akon’s second number for the album and while it is not as effective as ‘Chammak Challo’, ‘Criminal’ still has its charm. It can be loud in portions and the vocals are sometimes shrouded by the loudness of the music, but the good mix of dhol-tastic Punjabi music with pumped up club-like music do not make it a total write-off. The English lyrics are a tad bit tacky but the Hindi lines are relatively good and vocalised well by Vishal, Shruti and Akon. A remix for ‘Criminal’ seems pointless as the track is quite loud and fast to begin with, but needless to say ‘Criminal’s’ remix does exist. It achieves nothing that the original did not and is rather unimpressive.
The album takes a sombre turn with Bhare Naina. It commences like any other classical track, but transforms into a powerful rock ballad. The chorus seems somewhat disjointed with the rest of song but other than that it is a brilliant track. Where has Nandani Srikar been hiding all this time? She is brilliant and with the uprise of singers like Shraddha Pandit, Rekha Bharwaj and Richa Sharma, it’s a wonder we have not heard of her before. She brings Pannchi Jalonvi’s lyrics to life nurtures it within an outstanding composition by Vishal-Shekar.
The album then lightens up with Siddhartha Coutto’s Right By Your Side. If you liked ‘Jaane Kyon’ from Dostana, you’ll love this track as it encompasses the same uplifting and warm feeling. It is rather cute and should become an instant hit with kids. Coutto’s energetic and youthful vocals are the USP of the song while Anvita Dutt Guptan’s optimistic and hopeful lyrics make the song worth your while.
Next up is Raftaarein, a supremely cool track which can only be described as the past clashing with the future in a most fantastical manner. Vishal and Shekhar have created a mind-blowing number that even R D Burman himself would be proud of. They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery and an imitation of this calibre can only be termed a true tribute to the legend.
Jiya Mora Ghabraye (The Chase) is another brilliant fusion number from Vishal-Shekhar. Sukwinder Singh singing Indian classical against the backdrop of high-octane electronica is totally rad. Do not be surprised if Vishal-Shekhar are dubbed the Chemical Brothers of India very soon.
The album concludes with three pieces from the film’s background score, Comes the Light, IM On and Song of the End performed to perfection by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. ‘Comes the Light’ is a succinct little summary of the film’s emotions; sinister, powerful, sad, and victorious. ‘IM On’ is the most impressive out of the three and the shortest. It starts with bang, builds up to a brilliant crescendo and ends just as soon as it started. ‘Song of the End’ is a haunting yet beautiful piece of music that makes you soar and fall at the same time. All three thematic pieces have been brilliantly composed and can definitely challenge the likes of John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman.
In summary, Ra.One was definitely worth the wait. Vishal-Shekhar have clearly gone all out on this project. While ‘Dildara’ and ‘Chammak Challo’ are the obvious favourites it is the finer and more edgy compositions like ‘Bhare Naina’, ‘Raftaarein’, ‘Jiya Mora Ghabraye’ and the thematic pieces that take your breath away and give a true account of the talent inside Vishal-Shekhar. ‘Criminal’ and ‘Right By Your Side’, while not outstanding are still decent numbers. At the end of the day the music of Ra.One is massively entertaining so let it entertain you.
